How It Works
What to Expect
Preparation
Your provider may have you use specific skincare products before treatment. Avoid sun exposure, retinoids, and exfoliating acids for several days prior. Arrive with clean skin, and plan to have someone drive you home if sedation is used for a more intensive treatment.
Treatment
Thirty minutes to an hour before treatment, your provider will apply a topical anesthetic to reduce sensation. The treatment area is measured with motion tracking technology to ensure even coverage. Your provider then passes the HALO handpiece over each section until the system confirms treatment is complete. Most patients describe a feeling of heat with occasional prickling, but are generally comfortable.
Recovery
For the first 24 hours, keep your skin protected per your provider's instructions. Most patients continue to feel warm for 15–30 minutes after treatment. By day 2–3, skin develops a light bronzing appearance. By day 3–4, skin will peel, revealing fresh new skin beneath. You can apply makeup after the first 24 hours. A lighter treatment gets you back to normal quickly; more intense treatments require a few extra days.

Frequently Asked Questions
What results can I expect?
HALO is a complete skin revitalization treatment. You’ll see improvements in fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, skin reflectivity and glow, and significant reduction in discoloration.
How many treatments do I need?
What’s great about HALO is flexibility. You can choose one or two more aggressive treatments for faster results, or multiple lighter treatments to reach the same goal over a longer period with less downtime per session.
How soon can I return to normal activities?
After the first 24 hours, you can generally go about normal activities. For a facial treatment, you’ll see minimal change on day one. Days 2–3 bring a bronzed appearance, and by days 3–4 your skin peels to reveal fresh skin beneath.
When will I see results?
Initial results appear within 2–5 days. The greatest pigment improvement occurs in the first 2–3 weeks, followed by dermal regeneration that continues for months.
How long do HALO results last?
With proper skincare and sun protection, HALO results can last for years. Additional treatments continue to build and improve your results.
