The Surgical Process

A brow lift is an outpatient procedure that can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation, or under general anesthesia. We specialize in three different techniques and select the one best suited to your anatomy and goals.

Endoscopic Brow Lift

The endoscopic approach is a minimally invasive technique that uses small incisions in the hairline and an endoscope (a tiny camera) to lift the brow and forehead tissue. This is the right choice for patients with a normal hairline who need a modest lift, and it offers the fastest recovery of the three techniques.

Hairline Advancement Brow Lift

For patients who have a high forehead and would benefit from both a brow lift and a shorter, more proportionate hairline, the hairline advancement approach is ideal. The incision is made along the hairline itself, allowing the surgeon to lift the brow and lower the hairline at the same time.

Browpexy Through an Upper Lid Incision

For patients who are also having an upper blepharoplasty and need a small amount of brow stabilization rather than a full lift, a browpexy can be performed through the same upper eyelid incision. This avoids additional scars and is ideal for subtle elevation.
