Renew Your Radiance with CO2 Resurfacing

Customizable Skin Resurfacing with Adjustable Downtime

Take anti-aging to new depths — fractional CO2 laser resurfacing for smoother texture, even tone, and a more radiant complexion.

CO2 Resurfacing at a Glance

  • Overview

Secret Pro CO2 Laser Resurfacing improves the skin's texture, tone, and overall appearance using fractional CO2 energy. Each treatment is customizable to your unique skin needs, allowing for everything from a gentle refresh to deeper resurfacing for more dramatic results.

  • Recovery

As a customizable treatment, downtime adjusts to your treatment pathway. You may experience temporary redness or a warm, sunburn-like sensation, but most patients return to regular activities the same day. More aggressive settings produce a few days of visible peeling.

  • Results

Patients often notice a vibrant glow after their first treatment. Optimal, long-lasting results — smoother texture, less visible redness, fewer fine lines — typically appear after a series of 4–6 sessions as new collagen gradually regenerates.

Am I a Good Candidate?

If your skin is showing signs of aging — fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, superficial sun damage, or shallow acne scars — and you want results with adjustable downtime, Secret Pro CO2 Laser Resurfacing may be an ideal option. The procedure is suitable for most skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, and body to achieve a more radiant and youthful complexion.

What Do Scars Look Like?

Fractional CO2 resurfacing creates controlled, microscopic columns of treated tissue surrounded by intact skin — which is why healing is faster than with traditional, fully ablative CO2 lasers. The treated skin will look sand-paper rough for 1–3 days and may show brown flaking as the surface renews. With proper aftercare, the risk of scarring is low, but it is higher than with non-ablative options. Following pre- and post-treatment instructions — especially strict sun avoidance and the avoidance of picking — is critical to a smooth recovery and optimal cosmetic outcome.

How CO2 Resurfacing Works

The Science Behind Skin Rejuvenation

Fractional CO2 energy penetrates the skin’s surface and creates controlled micro-channels of treated tissue surrounded by healthy, untreated skin. The treated columns trigger the body’s natural healing response, stimulating new collagen and elastin production from the inside out. The intact tissue between the columns acts as a healing reservoir, which is why fractional CO2 recovers significantly faster than traditional, fully ablative CO2 procedures.

Customize Your Treatment Pathway

One of the advantages of the Secret Pro device is that the same machine can deliver everything from a gentle refresh to deeper resurfacing. The depth and density of treatment is calibrated to your specific concerns and to the amount of downtime you can accommodate. This makes CO2 resurfacing a flexible option for patients at different points in their skin-care journey.

Combining Treatments for Optimal Results

CO2 Resurfacing is often incorporated into a comprehensive skincare plan to maximize results. It pairs well with injectables for dynamic wrinkles, Pigmentation Treatment for stubborn brown spots, and physician-grade skincare to protect and extend results. During your consultation, our team will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals and skin type.

Surgeon's Notes

Why I dial CO2 strength to the patient, not the protocol

Patients sometimes ask for the most aggressive setting because they want the biggest result. I push back. The right CO2 setting is the one your skin can tolerate without complications, and that varies enormously by skin type, sun history, and how much downtime you can realistically take. I'd rather schedule three moderate sessions spaced six weeks apart than one aggressive session that risks pigmentation changes. The end result is the same — smoother, more even skin — but the path matters.

CO2 Resurfacing Recovery & Results Timeline

Please remember this is just a guide for CO2 Resurfacing recovery. Every individual and recovery is unique. Your surgeon will provide you with personalized instructions and recovery times after your procedure.

1

Immediately After

You may notice redness and some pinpoint bleeding on the treated area, similar to a sunburn.

2

24 Hours

Avoid strenuous exercise, hot tubs, and saunas — heat and perspiration can cause irritation. Skin may feel like sandpaper and existing brown pigmentation may temporarily appear darker. Makeup may resume after about 3 days; most normal activities resume after 8 hours.

3

1 Week – 1 Month

Be diligent with sun protection — broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Temporarily discontinue retinoids and acidic exfoliants as advised by our team.

4

Over Several Sessions

Treatments are typically spaced about 6 weeks apart. As you progress through the series, you will notice gradual but significant improvements in skin texture, tone, and overall radiance as new collagen develops.
