Calm the Red, Reveal Your Glow

Say Goodbye to Flushing, Redness, and Visible Veins

Whether caused by rosacea, broken capillaries, or sun damage, persistent redness can be frustrating. This non-invasive laser treatment helps restore a clearer, healthier-looking complexion.

Skin Redness Treatment at a Glance

  • Overview

Persistent skin redness, flushing, or visible blood vessels can be difficult to manage with skincare alone. We offer three advanced laser technologies — Limelight (IPL), Excel V+ (vascular laser), and Laser Genesis (gentle, no-downtime) — to safely target diffuse redness, broken capillaries, and rosacea-related flushing.

  • Recovery

Recovery varies by laser. Laser Genesis has no downtime. Limelight and Excel V+ produce redness and swelling that can peak 24–48 hours after treatment and last about a week. Your provider will discuss the expected recovery for your specific treatment.

  • Results

Results range from immediate (with some vein treatments) to gradual (with skin texture improvements). A series of sessions is typically required for optimal outcomes, with results becoming progressively more apparent as new collagen forms and treated areas heal.

Skin Redness Treatment

Am I a Good Candidate?

If over-the-counter creams or restricted diets haven't significantly changed your redness, or if you want to calm and revitalize your skin without an invasive procedure, laser redness treatment may be an ideal option. It is particularly effective for mild redness, rosacea, uneven skin tone, and sun damage, and it works well for softening the appearance of red recent surgical or acne scars. Patients who benefit most from this treatment prefer a gentle approach with minimal-to-no downtime, allowing them to fit sessions into busy schedules. The procedure is suitable for most skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, and chest.

What Do Scars Look Like?

The risk of scarring from modern laser treatments is very low, particularly with non-ablative lasers that work beneath the skin's surface without damaging it. The potential for scarring can vary based on the type of laser used, the condition of your skin, and how well you follow post-treatment care instructions. Our team prioritizes safety and will use the appropriate laser technology to minimize any risk. Being transparent about your medical history — and avoiding sun exposure before and after sessions — is critical to a smooth recovery.

How Our Redness Lasers Work

Our Three Redness Lasers

We use three different technologies for redness, each suited to a different concern. Limelight uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to target diffuse redness, sun damage, and brown spots in a single device. Excel V+ is a powerful vascular laser designed to precisely treat visible blood vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, and persistent redness. Laser Genesis is a gentle, no-downtime laser that improves overall skin texture and diffuse redness through gradual collagen building.

A Soothing, “Lunchtime” Procedure

Laser Genesis treatments are quick and comfortable, often completed in under 30 minutes — many patients describe the sensation as a soothing, warming feeling, similar to lying in the sun. No topical anesthetics or gels are needed. Limelight and Excel V+ sessions feel more like a quick rubber-band snap against the skin. Depending on the procedure, a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide additional comfort.

Combining Treatments for Optimal Results

Laser Genesis is often incorporated into a comprehensive skincare plan that maximizes results. It pairs well with Limelight or Excel V+ for stronger redness and pigmentation correction. During your consultation, our medical team will create a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals and skin type.

Surgeon's Notes

Rosacea is a relationship, not a one-time fix

I want patients to come in with realistic expectations on rosacea. Lasers do excellent work on the visible vessels and the flushing — but rosacea is a chronic condition that responds to ongoing management, not a single round of treatments. Most of my rosacea patients are best served by an initial series of 3–4 Excel V+ or Limelight sessions to clear what's visible, then a Laser Genesis maintenance session every 4–6 months to keep things calm. Pair that with strict sun protection and the right physician-grade skincare, and the long-term improvement is dramatic. Without the maintenance piece, results fade.
