The Safest, Fastest Way to Remove Ink
An effective way to erase unwanted tattoos with our advanced Enlighten III picosecond laser.
Tattoo Removal at a Glance
-
Overview
Our tattoo removal procedure uses the Enlighten III laser — three wavelengths and dual pulse durations — to effectively remove multi-color tattoos. The advanced system breaks down tattoo ink into minuscule particles that the body can naturally and safely eliminate, allowing us to treat all colors, sizes, and types of tattoos with minimal downtime.
-
Recovery
Following a treatment session, you may experience temporary redness, blisters, swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation. These side effects typically subside within 48 hours. The full recovery process involves gradual fading of your tattoo as your body flushes out treated ink particles over several weeks.
-
Results
The number of sessions and the final result depend on the tattoo's size, ink color, and depth. The Enlighten III's larger spot sizes and longer wavelengths allow faster clearance of ink and pigment particles than older lasers. Final results are seen several months after your last treatment.

Is Laser Tattoo Removal Right for You?
If you have a tattoo you no longer want, you are likely an excellent candidate for laser tattoo removal. Before treatment, patients must avoid sun exposure, avoid using retinoids on the tattooed areas, and avoid light-sensitizing medications and Accutane.
Our approach is highly effective for a wide range of individuals — from those with professional, deeply saturated tattoos to those with amateur tattoos. We can treat tattoos of all sizes and on most areas of the body, offering a customized solution to meet your specific needs.
- Significant fading or complete removal of the tattoo.
- A clearer canvas for a potential new tattoo.
- Reduced visibility of scar tissue from previous tattoo or removal attempts.
- An even skin tone in the treated area once the tattoo is gone.

More Details About Tattoo Removal
How Our Laser Approach Works
The Enlighten III Picosecond Laser
To provide the most effective and efficient results, we use picosecond and nanosecond laser technology. Our primary tool is the Enlighten III, which delivers ultra-short pulses of energy to the tattoo ink. These pulses shatter the ink into tiny, dust-like particles that are then naturally cleared away by your body’s immune system. The device uses three wavelengths (532nm, 670nm, and 1064nm) and dual pulse durations to remove multicolored tattoos.
The Importance of a Customized Plan
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to tattoo removal. The number of treatments and the final result depend on several factors: the ink’s color and depth, the quality of the tattoo, your individual skin type, and your immune system’s response. During your consultation, we will assess your specific tattoo and create a personalized treatment plan. For tattoos with particularly stubborn colors like red, green, or blue, we may perform a test spot to see how your skin reacts before proceeding with a full treatment.
Surgeon's Notes
Why color matters more than size
Patients often ask how many sessions removal will take, and they expect the answer to depend on tattoo size. Size matters less than color. Black ink absorbs every wavelength we have and clears predictably — usually 5–8 sessions for a full clearance. Reds and oranges respond to our 532nm wavelength. The challenging colors are greens and blues, which require the 670nm wavelength and may need more sessions or test spots before we commit to a full treatment plan. I always set expectations on color, not size, during the consultation so patients know what they're signing up for.

Tattoo Removal Recovery & Results Timeline
Please remember this is just a guide for Tattoo Removal recovery. Every individual and recovery is unique. Your surgeon will provide you with personalized instructions and recovery times after your procedure.
Immediately After Treatment
The treated area will likely be red and swollen, and may have some pinpoint bleeding and blisters. This feels similar to a sunburn and is a normal reaction.
24 – 48 Hours
Any initial redness and swelling should begin to subside. It is important to keep the area clean and avoid strenuous activity or anything that might irritate the skin.
1 – 2 Weeks
The treated area may feel dry or flaky. Avoid picking at any scabs or blisters that may have formed, as this can increase the risk of scarring.
8 Weeks
This is the typical interval between sessions. You will notice the tattoo becoming progressively lighter as the body continues to clear the ink particles.
